Old Dominion packs a lot of vocal power on their own, but they’re taking things to a whole new level with this Little Big Town collaboration.

That’s right, the two groups have teamed up for a new song called “Stars in the City.” It’s included on Old Dominion’s sophomore album, “Happy Endings,” out Aug 25. We’re proud to give you your first taste of the song here.

In this clip from the recording studio, Old Dominion lead singer Matthew Ramsey explains what it was like to work with Karen, Jimi, Phillip and Kimberly from Little Big Town.

He says, “They came in and it was amazing just to watch them work their magic on that song, figuring out their parts with us. They really care about the song and care about their performance on it. It’s rare to find such talent and such genuinely nice people at the same time.”

Recording with Little Big Town made Matthew realize just how far Old Dominion has come since they released their debut album, “Meat and Candy,” in 2015. That album included the hits “Break Up With Him,” “Snapback” and “Song For Another Time.”

He adds, “It was a very surreal moment to realize that here we are on this playing field with some major players, and it was really cool to watch them work.”

Old Dominion is closing in on yet another No. 1 hit this week with “No Such Thing as a Broken Heart,” the lead single from “Happy Endings.”
