A “The Voice” favorite turns on the sexy in new video YouTube / Natalie Stovall

Natalie Stovall may be a fantastic fiddler, but she opted out of showcasing her skills on the strings to play a more vulnerable role in her new music video for her song “Wine or Whiskey.”

In this clip, which opens up with a dramatic scene of pouring rain, the season 13 “The Voice” alum, who fronts a band called the Drive, finds herself parked in a vehicle presumably outside of the house of her significant other. With her hand on the steering wheel, Natalie wonders what the night will bring for her in terms of her relationship with her lover.

She imagines how her partner will act when she sees him, and then questions how things will play out for them for the remainder of their night. By the time the chorus hits, Natalie is alone, surrounded by a ton of hanging lights and half filled glasses of wine in the comfort of her home. During her time indoors, she continues to search for answers from her partner.

“Is it wine or whiskey / Are you gone or with me / yeahhh / Am I pulling you in or letting you go / Shootin’ it down / Sipping it slow / What kind of night is it going to be / Wine or whiskey,” she sings in the chorus, while dressed in a white ensemble.

As previously noted, Natalie spent part of last year competing on NBC’s “The Voice.” And, you could say that her journey on the show was a bit tumultuous, as she got booted off after her battle round performance. However, her coach, Blake Shelton, brought her back as his “comeback artist” for one episode before she was voted off yet again.

Despite her very brief run on the show, it’s clear that Natalie is doing just fine! In fact, “Wine or Whiskey” signals a growth in her career, as she previously performed foot-stomping tunes like “Mason Jar” or “Baby Come On With It” with her band.

“I feel like I’ve lived in that space where I was ‘hanging in the balance’ a lot more lately than I ever have before,” Natalie told music-news.com in regards to the song, which was penned by Lori McKenna, Little Big Town member Jimi Westbrook and the late Andrew Dorff. “So, when I heard this gorgeous song written by three of my favorite writers came into my life, I knew it was meant for me to bring into the world.”
