Nashville may have had some major storms this week, but it seemed like the sun was always shining on country music. There were some killer performances, precious pictures and a party to end all parties, courtesy of Jason Aldean.

The party was actually being thrown to celebrate Jason’s past three — yes, three — No. 1 singles, “Lights Come On,” “A Little More Summertime” and “Any Ol’ Barstool,” but it made a perfect date night for Jason and his beautifully expectant wife, Brittany. Surrounded by family, friends and celebrity guests that included the members of Florida Georgia Line, Josh Thompson and the Warren Brothers — who each had a writer credit on one the songs — the crowd even got to enjoy performances of all three hits from Jason and the writers themselves.

But those wasn’t the only special performances in country music this week. When Keith Urban kicked off his hit “We Were Us” during his July 26 show in California, it was pretty little Lauren Alaina who joined him singing the parts made famous by Miranda Lambert. Keith loved it, the fans loved it, we loved it and it was obvious that Lauren was beside herself with excitement.

There were more great performances this week in country music, and Dolly Parton shared a photo that we just can’t stop looking at on her social media pages, so we’d call that a good week in Music City.
