Ashley McBryde experienced a significant letdown when circumstances compelled her to abruptly cancel her greatly awaited appearance at the Hodag Country Festival scheduled for Saturday in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.

The acclaimed country singer turned to social media to inform her fans, revealing why she couldn’t attend the festival. This setback arises from technical problems encountered with her tour bus.
“Our bus took a shit last night trying to leave Bay City. Our drivers have been up all night trying everything in the book, but she’s still not starting up. We’re dead in the water,” McBryde said via her Instagram story. “We are gutted that we won’t be able to get to you at Hodag tonight. It’s one of our favorite festivals to play.”
She continued to ask for support from her fans, noting, “Shoot us prayer or a chant or meditation. Whatever your chosen method may be for sending good juju.”
Not only did the cancellation bring disappointment to McBryde, but it also left her band, Deadhorse, and crew feeling distraught. Despite their own letdown, they expressed a heartfelt message of love and gratitude to their fans. “I hope we can get back up to you soon,” the country singer added.
The Hodag Country Festival also took to social media to announce the new changes, saying, “Unfortunately we have to announce that Ashley McBryde is not able to make it today and needed to cancel. Fortunately, the other performers today have agreed to extend their shows to keep the entertainment going all day.” They revealed that Hardy was still set to headline the festival at 9 pm.
McBryde recently announced her highly anticipated new album, The Devil I Know, revealing the opening track, “Made For This.” The song was written by the country star as well as Travis Meadow.
Taking to Instagram to announce the single, she wrote, “@travis_meadows and I wrote “Made For This” about touring and the life of musicians. But this song reaches beyond that.”
She continued, “It’s not just touring musicians and bands and crews who are on the road 200+ days a year who are ‘calling home for a telephone goodnight kiss.’ It’s also members of our military, our truck drivers and those that work long or odd hours, sacrificing time with their family. We’re lucky we’re #MadeForThis.”
