Tim McGraw and Faith Hill earn “Legends of Live” status on the road this year

Even though it has been 10 years since Tim McGraw and Faith Hill last toured together, their “Soul 2 Soul: The World Tour” shows were high energy and the chemistry between the two performers was undeniable as ever, all of it building anticipation for their first-ever duets album, “The Rest of Our Life.”

Now in the third iteration of their “Soul 2 Soul” tours since 2000, the couple has announced that the successful current run will continue well into 2018. By the time it wraps next July, the couple will have played more than 100 shows.

As of early October, the tour had grossed $71.3 million and sold more than 838,000 tickets, according to Billboard Boxscore. While both stars have plenty of their own hits to carry them trough the night, a fan favorite on this run has been their cover and George Michael and Aretha Franklin’s “I Knew You Were Waiting For Me.”

All of those touring achievements combined to earn the couple the prestigious “Legends of Live” award at the Billboard Touring Awards, to be handed out Nov. 14 in Beverly Hills.

Faith and Tim are also now nominated for Tour of the Year in the Rare Country Awards, and it’s up to you to decide the winner. Voting begins Nov. 13 at and runs until Dec. 13. Winners will be revealed during a livestreamed concert on Dec. 14.
