Jon Pardi may have a little dirt on his boots, but he took us uptown this year

Jon Pardi’s recent hit “Heartache on the Dance Floor” had us dancing all summer long, as fans flocked to see him while out on Dierks Bentley’s “What the Hell World Tour,” before headlining the “CMT Tour” this fall. “Heartache on the Dance Floor” was not only the third single from his gold-certified debut album, “California Sunrise,” it was also Jon’s third consecutive No. 1 hit!

Born and raised in a Golden State farming region, Jon acknowledged his roots with the title of his sophomore album. The project is an authentic mix of full-tilt honky-tonk and mainstream accessibility. His gritty vocal tenacity compliments his affable nature, and quick wit, which was on full display during the Brad Paisley tour, when Jon pranked the master by wearing a jumpsuit to surprise Brad as “Elvis Pardi.”

“Heartache on the Dance Floor” follows Jon’s platinum-selling No. 1 “Head Over Boots” and three-week, CMA Awards-nominated No. 1 hit, “Dirt on My Boots.” He also racked up a win for CMA New Artist of the Year.

He is also now nominated for New Artist of the Year in the Rare Country Awards, and it’s up to you to decide the winner. Voting begins Nov. 13 at and runs until Dec. 13. Winners will be revealed during a livestreamed concert on Dec. 14.
