Country fans have learned to love Kris and his tender voice this year, as he and, often, his daughter would share country covers from the front seat of his car. The attention he received from those viral videos even landed the twosome on the television couch of none other than Ellen DeGeneres and allowed the Texas native to achieve a Facebook following of more than 300,000.

Now that’s what you call impressive and it makes you wonder when he might be coming to Nashville to pursue his musical dreams.

Unfortunately, not everything has been picture perfect for the man with the golden voice, as his recent cover of Chris Stapleton’s “Daddy Doesn’t Pray Anymore” served as a tribute to his late father.
