This “Small Town Boy” had a country-fried ride for Thanksgiving Day Instagram/@DustinLynchMusic

It isn’t how you might expect a “Small Town Boy” from Tullahoma, Tennessee, to spend his Thanksgiving, but Dustin Lynch sure didn’t seem to mind taking a spot atop the Kentucky Fried Chicken float for this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.

But just because he was in the big city didn’t mean Dustin didn’t represent his rural roots and country music in true cowboy fashion. Dressed in his signature cowboy hat, a plaid scarf, rusty red western cut coat and his dazzling smile, Dustin enjoyed his time before the parade checking out the sights and even grabbing a selfie with pal Lauren Alaina, who also performed.

It was all business when they blew the whistle to start the parade, though, and Dustin may have had the best vantage point to see the festivities. He was perched atop a giant bucket surrounded by celestial stars. Just beneath him, in a white Cadillac, was Colonel Sanders himself!

Dustin still has shows on his calendar, as his “Ride or Die Tour” continues deep into December. He’ll then take a short break for the holidays before he picks things back up in January on Brad Paisley’s “Weekend Warrior World Tour.”
