Shania Twain’s “From This Moment On” was one of the biggest hits of the late ’90s. But even now, 20 years later, the romantic ballad still resonates with the legendary country singer’s fans. So much so that many of them have taken to YouTube with their own cover versions of the popular wedding song.
But the latest cover performance of the song might just make your jaw drop! Why? Because it’s just so good!
Samantha Harvey, a young singer-songwriter from England, has been taking the internet by storm with her amazing covers of popular songs by powerhouse singers like Adele and Céline Dion. Now, she has uploaded a YouTube video of herself singing the Shania mega hit. Since sharing her passionate rendition of the country love song on Feb. 8, the video has racked up more than 48,000 views and climbing. This viral talent has already earned more than 1.2 million YouTube subscribers!
In this clip, posted on Feb. 8, Samantha simply uses a laptop to play a karaoke track. No backup musicians or singers accompany her in the video. Instead, the blonde-haired beauty just sits in the comfort of what is presumably her bedroom and lets her vocals do all the work. She doesn’t lose control of her vocals at any point during her performance. In fact, she reaches all of those high and hard to miss notes with her angelic soprano pipes.
Needless to say, Shania would be impressed!
Speaking of being impressed, many fans have already complimented Samantha on her stunning vocal delivery!
“This is sooo beautiful … ‘From This Moment On’ is my favorite song,” one person wrote.
“Yes! This cover is divine,” another commenter added.
A third person said, “This actually made me cry. Wow 😍😭.”
“From This Moment On,” which was penned by Shania and her ex-husband Mutt Lange, appears on the country icon’s best-selling 1997 “Come On Over” album.
These days though, Shania has a whole boatload of new material to share since she released her comeback album, “Now,” last year. The project, which features recent singles “Life’s About to Get Good” and “Swingin’ With My Eyes Closed,” dropped in September. Fans, of course, will be able to hear both of Shania’s newer songs as well as old hits very soon when she embarks on her “Shania Now Tour” in May. The trek wraps on Aug. 4 in the U.S. before Shania heads overseas for a handful of dates in Australia.
