The first night of Blake Shelton’s “Country Music Freaks Tour” kicked off in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Thursday, Feb. 15, and there was no shortage of fun … or surprises!
As Blake ran through the catalogue onstage and got to his hit “Lonely Tonight,” a duet he originally recorded with incomparable songbird Ashley Monroe, many fans wondered if he would just sing the entire thing by himself.
Nope. Not when you’ve got rising country star Carly Pearce (“Every Little Thing”) on the road with you!
When she walked out on that stage again to join Blake, she was ready to rock it, right down to her sparkly boots!
“When Blake Shelton [lets] you surprise the crowd and sing #lonelytonight with him,” she captioned a video of the performance.
That was beyond singing … that was more like knocking it out of the park—a true home run for Carly!
Fans were feeling this duet, too. “So awesome!!” one wrote. Another commented, “You’re a star.” But this particular comment is a good reminder for us all: “Dreams come true … So always dream BIG! So awesome.”
It’s so true, and Carly really is seeing her dreams come to fruition.
Now, there are perks to being on the road with Blake—besides the duets and obvious fun. Like having Brett Eldredge out on the road, too!
Well, especially having the infamous Edgar Boogie — Brett’s Instagram-famous dog — out on the road.
“Guys. I found him,” Carly captioned a photo of herself giving Edgar a squeeze.
At this point, Edgar might be more famous than Brett.
What an awesome onstage moment for Carly, who is truly living her best rock star life right now. Don’t forget that when this particular day started, she was in New York City appearing on “Live with Kelly and Ryan.”
Then she hopped a private plane to Tulsa for the start of the tour!
Living that glamorous life, girl. And looking so happy doing it. Congratulations, Carly!
