It takes a lot of courage to perform in front of a packed audience with celebrity judges sitting directly before you on “America’s Got Talent.”
Now, imagine sharing that same stage with legendary country icon Shania Twain for a performance of her mega-hit, “You’re Still the One.”
Well, that’s exactly what Mandy Harvey did during the season 12 finale of the NBC competition on September 20.
The 29-year-old finalist, who revealed she’s been deaf for at least a decade earlier this season, made her presence felt in front of a flame-filled backdrop, as she delivered the opening lines of Shania’s ‘90s crossover hit in both song and sign language.
Meanwhile, the 52-year-old country icon, who wore a metallic gold dress and sparkly, knee-high boots, strolled onstage and contributed backing vocals to allow Mandy to make the ballad her own.
Shania, whose new album, “Now” will be released September 29, followed up the duet performance of “You’re Still the One” with a choreographed version of her new single, “Life’s About to Get Good.”
As for Mandy, her night did not end there. She was voted into the top five, and ended up in fourth place in the show, just a few spots behind the crowned winner, ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer.
