Whenever country artists cover a song from outside of the genre, it showcases their ability to connect with another audience, while introducing an unexpected twist on a new tune.

Country music group LANCO, known for their Gold-certified, No. 1 hit single “Greatest Love Story,” undoubtedly has their own unique and eclectic sound. So, when they released a video featuring their own version of one of pop music’s biggest hits of the past year, it was quite a treat.

The five-piece band, which is made up of members Brandon Lancaster, Chandler Baldwin, Jared Hampton, Tripp Howell and Eric Steedly, recently put their own spin on Niall Horan’s sultry smash, “Slow Hands.”

And yes, they absolutely nailed it.

In this performance clip, you’ll notice that unlike the original version of the former One Direction member’s song, the country band’s rendition is less retro and more twang. Brandon, the lead singer and primary songwriter of the group, holds onto a vintage-style microphone and wails out the lyrics of the sexy song, while his buddies back him up on instruments including drums, guitars, tambourine and bass.

“Slow, slow hands / Like sweat dripping down our dirty laundry / No, no chance / That I’m leaving here without you on me / I, I know / Yeah, I already know that there ain’t no stoppin’ / Your plans and those slow hands,” Brandon sings, while seemingly feeling the beat.

And, if LANCO’s version of “Slow Hands” made you move your body so much that you can’t wait to see them again, no sweat! You can catch them at our first-ever Rare Country Awards livestream concert event originating from Nashville on Dec. 14!
