Anderson East just put on one star-making performance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” And how he got there is a total, magical, show business moment.
Anderson, who’s been dating country superstar Miranda Lambert for two years now, has been a fixture in the Americana music scene for quite some time with his gravelly, soulful voice and large- than-life, old school tunes that perfectly blend gospel, soul, roots and R&B.
But to some, like Ellen, he was still undiscovered … that is until the Emmy-winning comedian heard him on the radio and immediately ordered her team to book him on her show.
What a huge moment for him, a moment he took full advantage of when he rolled up to perform with a full band and horn section that blew everyone away.
You have to watch until the end for the crowd’s reaction.
His performance of “All on My Mind” might go down as one of his best yet. Heck, Ellen’s already declared it one of her new favorite songs out there, and said of Anderson, “I love him so much.”
And listening to the lyrics, we can’t help but wonder if it was inspired by his love, Miranda.
So when are these two gonna release an official duet already? Come on, y’all, don’t let us down!
Anderson’s new album, “Encore” is set to come out Jan. 12, 2018, but in the meantime, check out his debut album, “Delilah.”
