Miley Cyrus delighted fans with her newest single “Younger Now,” during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on September 7.
For her performance, the 25-year-old superstar rocked an outfit in the style of the late Elvis Presley. She wore a hot pink jumpsuit embellished with colorful rhinestones, and paired her look with platform heels and pink lipstick. She also wore her hair up in a pompadour.
As a full band provided accompaniment, Miley leaned into the microphone and delivered lyrics that tout the inevitable changes that people go through during their lives. “No one stays the same / You know what goes up must come down / Change is a thing you can count on / I feel so much younger now,” she sang, while imitating Elvis’ classic dip move with the microphone stand.
Toward the end of the song, Miley pulled show host, Ellen DeGeneres out for an impromptu dance, which made the performance that much more enjoyable to watch.
“Younger Now,” which Miley co-wrote, is the second single from her upcoming album of the same name, due out Sept. 29. Watch the video above to see Miley dazzle a studio audience with her retro tune.
