Rather than sing her vulnerable ballad, “I Could Use A Love Song,” Maren Morris brought some major sass with a performance of “Rich” when she appeared as the musical guest on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on September 13.

In this clip, Maren is clad in her signature look that includes a fashionable halter top. She leans into the microphone and playfully shakes off a significant other’s broken promises by incorporating the phrase, “If I had a dollar every time …” into the lyrics.
“If I had a dollar every time that I swore you off / And a twenty every time that I picked up when you called / And a crisp new Benjamin for when you’re here then gone again / And a dollar every time I was right about you after all,” she sings in the first verse, before revealing what she’d do with all of the cash on the chorus. The song is a cut from her major label debut album, “Hero.”
“Rich” marks Maren’s second appearance on “Fallon.” She made her debut back in 2016 with her breakthrough single, “My Church,” a song that went on to earn her a Grammy Award for “Best Country Solo Performance.”
In October, Maren will resume her headlining “Hero Tour.” In the meantime, she’s opening shows on Sam Hunt’s “15 in a 30 Tour.” Be sure to click the video above to see Maren’s confident and sassy performance of fan-favorite “Rich.”
