Country music fans love Kelly Clarkson. Maybe it’s because of her work with Reba on “Because of You” and Jason Aldean on “Don’t You Wanna Stay.” Maybe it’s because she lives in Nashville and openly expresses her love of the country music community. Maybe it’s because she’s Texas proud. Or maybe it’s because she is hilarious, but also empowering and encouraging not just to women but for all that is right, just and fair.

Whatever the reason, this sweetheart has proven that her heart is all country and her voice is everything. And boy did she throw down on Dec. 31 when she appeared on “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve” from Hollywood.

Full of energy and dressed in a sparkly gold cocktail dress, Kelly ripped through a mashup of her 2012 iconic chart-topper, “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” and the super sassy and soulful “Whole Lotta Woman” from her newest album, “Meaning of Life.”

And a whole lotta fans lost their minds, including the country fans there to see Florida Georgia Line and Kane Brown perform.

The past 12 months have given Kelly Clarkson fans an even greater opportunity to get to know the Fort Worth native. With the release of “Meaning of Life” and the announcement that she would join the cast of “The Voice” in 2018, the big-hearted singer-songwriter has been everywhere, and we aren’t mad about it.

But it hasn’t been just about promoting her music or her tenure as a coach on the hit reality show. Because of the way she so honestly but not forcibly voices her opinions, Kelly has been an in-demand talk show guest, where she has shared her thoughts on issues that affect women, like body shaming and the “me too” movement.

And while, like many celebrities, she has faced the wrath of social media haters whom she easily and hilariously shuts down, she has also given fans and followers a deeper glimpse into life with River Rose and Remy.

For those country music fans who have opened their hearts to the incredible diverse and immense talent that is Kelly Clarkson, we hear that the celebrity who everyone wants to be friends with will be hitting the road on an international tour this year. No dates have been announced yet, but with “The Voice” kicking off in February, we can’t see her hitting the road too hard until after season 14 wraps.

Speaking of “The Voice,” the new season should be even more exciting than usual, especially knowing that Kelly’s husband, Brandon, is also Blake Shelton’s manager. Things could get pretty interesting in the Clarkson-Blackstock home. But Blake will also be going for his seventh win on the show.

And we expect Kelly to give him a run for his money.
