Keith Urban has still got that Midas touch, y’all.

The country superstar played a pop-up show on Jan. 17 at Nashville’s legendary rock club Exit/In, and the lucky fans who made it in for the free concert were immediately greeted with lit-up signs spelling out “Graffiti U.”

It turns out that’s the name of Keith’s new album, due out in the coming months. He’s almost through with the project, which will definitely include his latest hit, “Female.” The lucky fans at the show — including Rare Country — were treated to four more songs from the new record, and we are here to tell you this is going to be another monster album from Mr. Urban.

Keith had been teasing a new song called “Parallel Line” on his socials in the hours leading up to the show. In introducing the new track, he said it’s about becoming one with your significant other. It’s not hard to imagine Keith was thinking of his love, Nicole Kidman, when he wrote this one.

Another new one, “You Can Steal My Thunder,” is all about letting the woman in the relationship shine while the guy is the cheering fan on the front row. It’s a fitting song for Keith considering he and Nicole are always cheering each other on at big ceremonies like the CMA Awards or the Golden Globes.

Then there’s the new ballad, “Same Heart,” which was a real hit with you guys over on Rare Country’s Instagram. Keith is still figuring out the track listing for “Graffiti U,” and you guys let us know what you think about “Same Heart” making the final cut for that project.

Fan @brandi199024 writes, “He definitely should put it on this new album! I love it.” Another supporter, @thatamymiller tells us, “I think it’s a keeper.”

Finally, we’re proud to bring you a snippet of our favorite song of the night from Keith — “Texas Time.”

Keith’s musical hero, Don Williams, passed away last year, and we hear a lot of Don’s influence in the laid-back beat of this song. The title, “Texas Time,” also pays a subtle tribute to Don’s monster hit, “Tulsa Time.”

“Texas Time” has such a timeless quality that fan Glenda Hoffman asked us on Facebook, “Is that a new song? It fits like a pair of old jeans.”

Leave it to Keith to throw a curveball in there, though. While the song has a real classic country feel, Keith throws some Bee Gees-inspired harmonies on the chorus that make it seem like Don Williams took a little detour to the dance floor.

Keith expects to release “Graffiti U” soon, but he hasn’t announced an exact date just yet. He told the crowd, “I’m getting very close to finishing it.”

The track “Parellel Line” is coming out on Jan. 19. Look for Keith to launch the “Graffiti U Tour” this June with special guest Kelsea Ballerini. You can find the concert dates here.
