Keith Urban never fails to leave everything he’s got on the stage, and you can see that happening during this epic nine-minute performance of his hit “Long Hot Summer” from his 2010 album, “Get Closer.”

Though Keith has performed “Long Hot Summer” hundreds of times, he still finds ways to make it fresh every time. In the video, you can see Keith breaking it down halfway through so the fans in the audience can sing along to every word of the chorus.

This clip also shows off Keith’s deep knowledge and passion for music of all genres. Since he was performing in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Keith worked in a bit of Billy Joel’s 1982 hit song, “Allentown,” towards the end of the song. He was just noodling on the guitar and riffing out some freestyle lyrics about loving to play for his fans in Pennsylvania.

Only a true master can pull off that kind of spontaneous moment.

Keith only has a handful of shows still scheduled for this year, including a September 2 date at the Jazz Aspen festival in Snowmass, Colorado.
