It would be difficult to find a current country music hit-maker who doesn’t count Garth Brooks as at least one of the major influences on their career. And for those young artists, just meeting the iconic star and Country Music Hall of Fame member is excitement enough to last a lifetime. So for Jason Aldean to be joined onstage by Garth? Well, that’s just a next level thrill.

And from the looks of social media, it wasn’t just a pretty big deal for both stars, it was a big deal for a roomful of industry insiders who are often perceived to be jaded by industry politics. But from the overwhelming number of images on Instagram and Twitter of this special moment, and the incredible volume of the voices singing along, they just don’t look too jaded to us. In fact, they look and sound like they are beside themselves to witness this milestone event.

It all happened during an Amazon Music-sponsored show in Nashville on Feb. 5. Jason was performing for the industry crows at the city’s Omni Hotel and when he rolled into his 2010 smash, “My Kinda Party,” Garth strolled out onstage, picked up a mic and joined his pal.

Of course, turnabout is fair play, so there was also a rousing duet version of Garth’s smash hit, “Friends In Low Places.”

And if you think Jason minded sharing the stage with the mega-star, guess again. Check out that expression on Jason’s face.

There’s a whole lot of love and respect written across both of those faces, right?

Earlier in the night, Jason also headline a showcase sponsored by his record label, BBR Music Group, that also featured incredible performances from Randy Houser, Trace Adkins, Joe Nichols, Dustin Lynch, Lindsay Ell, Parmalee, Runaway June and Granger Smith, among others.

In fact, speaking of incredible, Randy shared a bit of his soundcheck before the event, and holy high notes! This boy can sing his Mississippi tail right off!

Following this epic night of music with Jason, Garth scooted down the road a bit and played one of Nashville’s most legendary honky-tonks, Layla’s, to lead another big country music sing-along.
