If any rising country artists are going to cover Chris Stapleton, they’d better be prepared to knock it out of the park. Chris is pretty much perfect at every single musical turn. So excuse us while we pick our jaws up off the floor after listening to this Chris Stapleton cover, courtesy of country fan Heath Sanders.
Heath absolutely nails this performance of “Either Way,” Chris’ Grammy-winning song from his album “From A Room, Vol. 1.” That album received both the Grammy award for Best Country Album and the CMA Award for Album of the Year.
“Little somethin’ to go with my classy ass profile pic. ‘Bout gave myself a gosh darn hernia, but here ya go, Lance,” he captioned the cover video, which he posted on his Facebook page.
While we are loving Heath’s smooth voice on this cover, we love his sense of humor, too. The Lance he mentions in his caption is Lance Stephenson, a fellow musician and one of Heath’s good friends. We can’t help but wonder if Lance might have challenged Heath to tackle a Chris Stapleton tune, leading to this video.
But just who is Heath Sanders? Heath is an oil field worker from Clinton, Arkansas, who tours frequently in the area. He’s 100 percent straight country. There are ample videos of Heath doing his own material live and killing it over on his Facebook music page, and there’s even a live cover of Luke Combs’ “When It Rains It Pours,” too.

And there’s this awesome cover of “Like Jesus Does” by Eric Church. Just listen to this voice!
But it’s this latest Stapleton cover we can’t quit watching, and it’s taking the internet by storm. You should see these comments from friends and followers.
One follower wrote, “Killer voice! Congrats, I believe you are fixin’ to hit the big time!”
Another wrote, “Don’t forget us small folk when you get all famous and stuff.”
This one might be the best yet though: “Dang man … ‘The Voice’? Bromance with Blake Shelton?”
Now there’s a genius idea: Heath should totally audition for “The Voice.” We think Blake would be all about this guy and his incredible talent. Team Heath!
We’re also Team Chris Stapleton! And if you haven’t made plans to see Chris this year, what are you waiting for? The singer-songwriter just revealed the dates for his “2018 All-American Road Show Tour,” which features special guests Brent Cobb and icon Marty Stuart. Talk about a killer lineup!
The tour launches June 16 in Brandon, Mississippi, and will hit L.A.’s The Forum and New York City’s Madison Square Garden, in addition to a stop at Lexington’s Rupp Arena in Chris’ home state of Kentucky. A full list of tour dates can be found on Chris’ website.
Until then, we’ll be swapping back and forth between videos of Chris and Heath singing “Either Way.”
