Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and that means that it’s almost time to start listening to those love songs. And, what better way to celebrate the upcoming romantic holiday than with a performance of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s co-penned duet, “Go Ahead And Break My Heart?”
After all, the two stars always look so in love when they sing their heartfelt ballad onstage together. Want proof? Check out photos of their most recent duet performance in the fan Instagram shots below.
Over the weekend, Blake performed back-to-back shows at his Ole Red Tishomingo bar and restaurant in his home state of Oklahoma. Fans got a wild surprise during night two of the intimate concerts, as he invited his ladylove up for a passionate duet on “Go Ahead And Break My Heart.”
But, before the two lovebirds belted out their song, Blake joked that his girlfriend just gave birth to two babies, in what we can only assume was a lighthearted shot at the constant tabloid rumors surrounding the couple.
“Ladies and gentlemen, you guys are very lucky,” Blake told the crowd, as seen in this fan video. “She actually gave birth to twins yesterday, and she’s here tonight to sing with me. This is Gwen Stefani everybody.”
Once Gwen appeared onstage, it was obvious that the chemistry between her and Blake was as on fire as ever. In fact, the cute couple of more than two years couldn’t take their eyes off of each other! Blake, who sported a pair of blue jeans and a matching buttoned-down shirt, took the first verse, while armed with his acoustic guitar. Meanwhile, Gwen, who looked like a like a model in an oversized jacket and red-hot, knee-high boots, swayed back and forth while waiting for her cue to harmonize on the chorus.
After taking turns on the verses and exchanging adorable smiles with each other, Blake and Gwen gave a finale finish with an affectionate smooch on the lips the crowd loved.
Gwen, of course, didn’t exit the building after the couple’s duet performance though. Like the supportive girlfriend she is, she sat and watched her beau from the front row! She also documented her cowboy’s concert on Snapchat, while singing along to songs like “I Lived It.”
Fans can certainly expect to see more of Blake very soon, as his Tishomingo performance was used as a rehearsal for his upcoming the “Country Music Freaks Tour.” The trek, which features openers Trace Adkins, Brett Eldredge and Carly Pearce, begins Feb. 15 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and runs through March 17 in Philadelphia. Hopefully, we’ll see Gwen take the stage again on a few tour stops!
