When country music superstar Martina McBride released the rousing “A Broken Wing” back in 1997, country music fans were a bit taken aback at the strength with which the country songstress delivered the powerful song. It told the story of a woman who finally finds a way to escape the perils of an abusive relationship in favor of going out on her own with broken wings that can certainly still take flight through life’s uncertainties.

And now, 20 years later, a rendition of the song is stunning music lovers once again.

This time they have been surprised by the tiny songstress Marisa McKaye, a 12-year-old powerhouse of a singer who recently appeared on the competition show “America’s Got Talent.” Not only did her voice make quite the impression, but so did her beautiful guitar playing, which seemed to just add to the magic of the moment.

And heck, even the “America’s Got Talent” judges loved it, including the often cranky Simon Cowell.
