“I’ll Be Home For Christmas” is undoubtedly one of the most well known Christmas songs of all time. The ballad, which was originally recorded by Bing Crosby in 1943, has been covered by many singers, including Elvis Presley, Sara Evans and Kelly Clarkson.

And, lets not forget that the season 7 winner of NBC’s “The Voice,” Craig Wayne Boyd, also put his own stamp on the festive tune.

The country music singer from Texas recently stopped by “Fox & Friends” to perform the holiday favorite, which he released as a single back in 2015.

In this clip, Craig throws all of his heart and soul into the warm-hearted song, while accompanied by a giant screen showing white snow, and a lone acoustic jazz guitar player. He rocks a comfy knitted sweater and a maroon scarf, and nails the yuletide staple with his signature southern rock vocals to remind us exactly why he was chosen as “The Voice” champion back in 2014.

Speaking of winning “The Voice,” Craig told the “Fox & Friends” hosts that he tuned in to catch the finale episode of season 13, which aired on Dec. 19, and he shared his reaction to the victory for Team Blake’s Chloe Kohanski.

“I was watching that and I’m like, ‘I’m feeling that same intense feeling that I had at that moment watching her go through that,’” he explained of his own crowning moment on the show. “It’s been a huge blessing to have that part of my life, and then now to be able to finally put out new music.”

That new music that Craig speaks of is none other than the release of his first album, called “Top Shelf.” Fans may recall that Craig blew coaches and audiences away with renditions of songs like the Marshall Tucker Band’s “Can’t You See,” George Strait’s “You Look So Good in Love” and Johnny Cash’s “I Walk the Line” during his “The Voice” tenure, but he never got a chance to record and release a full-length album of his own after quickly splitting from the record label deal that came along with his show win. All that changed when he signed a new deal with Copperline Music Group after previously being on the roster of BMLG’s Dot Records.

But a record isn’t the only thing that Craig has been celebrating in recent months. The “My Baby’s Got a Smile on Her Face,” singer and his wife, Taylor, who wed in April 2016, have also been celebrating the impending birth of their baby boy, who is expected to arrive around New Year’s Eve. The soon-to-be bundle will be Craig’s third child and his second with Taylor. The Boyd family also has toddler girl, Dakota Lynne, who will celebrate her second birthday on New Year’s Eve, and Craig’s son, Jaxon, from a previous relationship.

If the couple’s new baby boy is born on his New Year’s Eve due date, he will not only share a birthday with his big sister, but with his father as well!
