Ashland Craft, who has been commanding the stage all season long on “The Voice,” did it again during the live playoffs on Nov. 15.

The 21-year-old from Piedmont, South Carolina, who represents Team Miley, charmed the coaches with an emotional rendition of Gretchen Wilson’s 2004 hit “When I Think About Cheatin.'”

While Ashland admitted in rehearsals to being nervous about reaching the high notes, she ended up shining with her confident delivery on the tune. She showcased her raw country vocals and tough girl rasp, which prompted coach Jennifer Hudson to shout out, “C’mon girl!”

Coach Adam Levine, who was first to comment after the performance, said, “You’ve always been someone I’ve had my eye on. It was a beautiful, incredible, unique and amazing performance. World class.”

“Why in the hell aren’t you on my team?” Blake Shelton added. “Since Gretchen, we haven’t heard that voice in country music. And, by the way, we need you right now.”

“I believe in you, and I believe that you have it, and I believe that this is the perfect song for you,” Miley Cyrus said. “You did it, and I’m really proud of you.”

Miley followed through on her high remarks as she chose to advance the singer to the next phase of the competition. Ashland joins fellow Team Miley contenders Brooke Simpson and Janice Freeman in the Top 12 live shows, which kick off on Nov. 20 at 8 ET on NBC.
