Brad Paisley’s been known to punk his fellow country stars.
In fact, Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift and The Band Perry can all say that they’ve fallen victim to the singer’s harmless, but hilarious crimes.
So when opening acts Eric Paslay and country newcomer Cam got a chance to pull one over him, they pulled the trigger.
On Feb. 27 during a concert in Tulsa, which was Cam’s last night on the “Crushin’ It World Tour,” Brad strummed a few familiar chords on the guitar and led the first verse of the gloomy “Whiskey Lullaby.” Although normally sung with duet partner Alison Krauss, Cam’s been lending her voice chops on it during the tour. Assuming that the “Burning House” singer would then appear during the chorus to sing along with Brad, she instead coupled with Eric to do the unthinkable.
Decked out in a giant curly wig and a bright yellow top, complete with a bow on his head, a 6-foot-6-inch Eric appears onstage lip-syncing to Cam’s vocal track. Brad, who can barely hold in his laughter, turns his back away from the audience.
While the trio got a kick out of the whole thing, Brad made sure to post the photo on Instagram showing that he indeed had a good laugh.
As for us, we think Brad will be cooking up something good to get back at his friends in due time.
