Gosh know that artists will think up just about anything to promote their new record. But what country music rising star Thomas Rhett just did really takes the cake…or at least the Twister board.
In support of the release of his brand new album “Tangled Up,” Rhett and his fans gathered together on September 23 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas to create the largest game of Twister. Not only did it make for quite a sight, but it even set an official Guinness World Record.
“Going into album release surrounded by some of my biggest fans is exactly how I want to kick off that week,” Rhett said. “That paired with the fact that we get to play new music at one of the most iconic stadiums in the world is going to be wild.”
The CMA New Artist of the Year nominee has been winning as of late thanks to the success of “Tangled Up,” with more than 76,000 first-week units sold. The album’s chart-topping lead single “Crash and Burn” also received Platinum certification.
“There’s so much freedom in knowing (the fans and I) are on the same page and they’re just as excited about this new music as I am,” Rhett said in a recent press release. “I’ve always felt like we were pretty in-sync with what we are into, but now I’m on this crazy adrenaline high and could not be more pumped.”
