As Kelly Clarkson finds herself in the whirlwind that comes when you are releasing a new record, she did find the perfect way to stay grounded during a September 8 appearance on “Today.”
She decided to bring her kids.
“I want to see a tiger,” little River Rose growled as she sat on host Hoda Kotb’s lap while Kelly had her hands full with son Remington, who eventually decided that he was done with the interview … and proceeded to walk right offstage on live TV.
Of course, it’s this candid, “who cares” attitude that makes most people fall in love with Kelly. Currently promoting her upcoming album “Meaning of Life” and first single “Love So Soft,” Kelly seemed downright enthralled to have the chance to work alongside her children during the interview, and both kids show off quite a personality already.
“They love when anyone sings,” Kelly said about the kids’ love of music.
Probably as much as we love hearing her mama sing.
Kelly also stuck around to perform on the show with a special live performance of “Love So Soft” and “Move You” as part of the NBC’s “Today Show Citi Concert Series.” She is believed to have a slate full of future television appearances booked as well.
