The morning of August 7th was a fine one for country fans.

Because there was a morning show showdown of sorts.

On NBC, you had country music megastar Keith Urban playing on the “Today” show some of his biggest hits, including “Somewhere in my Car” and his newest single “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16”

“I know what connects with me,” Urban said of his judging skills on American Idol. “I think I what makes that connection.”

Just a few networks away was country superstar Luke Bryan, who was playing “Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series” and performed his brand new single “Strip It Down.”

Luke also played “Kick the Dust Up” from his new album.

“The last time we did the Central Park stuff, she was able to be here,” Bryan said of his wife, who was busy at home with the children and had managed to get themselves in a bit of trouble while Daddy was gone. “And Tate got stitches tonight. He is so cute in the ER with his head all taped up.”

So what do you think? Who won the morning show showdown?
