Luke Bryan is practicing what he preaches in this latest post.
The “Huntin,’ Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” singer is taking at least one of those things to heart, as he recently headed to the lake to test the waters.
It might have even been the first time this season. Nashville has had some unseasonably warm weather pop up in the middle of this frigid February, and everyone, including Luke, was taking full advantage of it!
“Yes. Fishing is back,” he wrote on his video post, which shows him reeling one in.
And, just like that, we’ve lost Luke.
Just kidding, he’s got a tour to run, guys. But you best believe that every free day he has that’s sunny with favorable winds from now on, he’s going to be out casting a line.
And Luke wasn’t the only one who caught fishing fever during those few gorgeous days. Love and Theft’s Stephen Barker Liles and his little cutie pie, Jett, took in an afternoon on the water, and it looks like they had a big time, too!
My goodness, look how much Jett has grown! He’s not a baby anymore! And that grin is just too much. We’re not sure who’s grinning bigger, father or son. One thing’s for sure, this was a special day of bonding for these two.
Up until this point in the season, you had to take a trip to a tropical destination to catch a fish. It was just too cold to get out there.
Remember when a bearded Tim McGraw kicked off the year deep-sea fishing in the Bahamas? He was giving us all the Tom Hanks “Cast Away” vibes holding up that hogfish and that huge snapper.
Yeah, yeah we know, it’s not exactly country boy fishing … but we knew you secretly wanted to see Tim without a shirt again, ladies.
But back to Luke. The last time he posted about fishing it was in October of 2017, so we know he was thrilled to be able to get back at it.
Dang! What a catch.
Now we’re just waiting on adorable photos of when Luke’s boys join their daddy for a day of fishing.
We’re hoping the weather stays nice for it, because now we have the itch to reel in a big one. What about you? Any special anglers in your life?
