We guarantee you have never heard this Blake Shelton chart-topper quite like this YouTube/The Voice

On April 18 during a Top 12, season 10 live episode of “The Voice,” coach Christina Aguilera’s bring back artist, Nick Hagelin, graced the stage with one of fellow judge Blake Shelton’s chart-toppers.

Positioned in front of a grand piano, the multi-talented competitor showed off his piano-playing skills with a tender loving version of “Mine Would Be You.” Adding some boy band flavor to the song, he then strolled across the stage for the second verse and hit a few impressive high notes.

Needless to say, he made this song all his own.

“Now, thanks to you… I think I’m playing in Dallas this weekend,” feared Blake. “People are going to be like, ‘Do the Nick Hagelin version!’”

Pharrell Williams added, “Blake should write a song for you. I can see you on the chart with this song.”

As for Christina, she said Nick was humble, likable and a pleasure to work with.

While it’s clear that Nick did the country crooner’s song justice, it’s his personal story that makes him shine the most. He admitted before his performance that the song was dedicated to his beautiful wife, Christina. The pair, who’ve been married for 10 years, have hit some bumps in the road along the way. In fact, their little boy, Bash, was born with a rare disability that had doctors believing he would never be able to walk.

On April 19, Nick learned that America recognized his love for his family through that performance when he advanced into a Top 11 spot during the show’s elimination round.
