The holidays grant us all a moment to stop and truly take the time to cherish life’s little blessings. And for country and reality television star Jessie James Decker, one of those little blessings is her brand new niece.

“Vivi’s first time holding her baby cousin, Brookie,” Jessie shared on her Instagram page Nov. 26. “Vivianne was so comfortable and didn’t even flinch or get nervous. She is so nurturing and such a natural. I was so proud of her and her tender heart. While Vivianne was holding her I made sure to tell Viv, ‘You may not realize it now baby girl, but you are holding your best friend.’ She looked up at me and smiled.”

Fans will recall that baby Brooklyn (aka “Brookie”) gave the family a bit of a scare earlier this year when she was born to Jessie’s sister, Sydney Rae Bass, at just 28 weeks via emergency C-section. Due to her early arrival, Brooklyn had to stay in the neonatal intensive care at the hospital for a number of weeks before coming home to her adoring family in November.

Of course, Jessie herself is awaiting yet another blessing next year, as she and her hubby, NFL star Eric Decker, are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their new little one in 2018!
