Watching this man get tackled after charging toward Miranda Lambert will leave you shocked Associated Press

Miranda Lambert sure has dealt with some rowdy fans, but this one might take the cake.

On March 7, just as the Texas native was wrapping up her show at RodeoHouston and concertgoers were filing towards facility exit signs, the unthinkable happened. 50-year-old Richard Worley – holding a flower bouquet – tried to rush the stage and made his way toward Miranda. Lucky for her, security guards came to the rescue and tackled the man to the floor.

“Yea, we saw all of the tackling we were all just like, ‘Oh dang they were hardcore.'” Natali Perez, a witness who caught the action on tape, tells KPRC2 News. You can watch the video here.

At the time, Miranda was in the process of getting picked up by a truck. Thankfully she got off of the stage just in time. As for Richard, he was charged with criminal trespass, and as a result, his actions have some fans very concerned.

“How did he get through that gate?” asks Natali.

According to Rodeo officials who first confirmed the incident, chute seat holders are the only people allowed in the arena, and although security measures were already put in place, Richard didn’t bother to follow them.

The RodeoHouston concert wasn’t the only time Miranda dealt with a crazed fan. In fact, back in 2006, she abandoned the stage when a male wouldn’t leave her alone during “Kerosene.”
