Jason Aldean covered an old Kid Rock hit and the Kid himself joined him onstage YouTube

The Rare Country Awards honor the year’s best in country music as determined by fans. Jason Aldean is nominated for tour of the year. Cast your vote at RareCountryAwards.comWinners to be announced Dec. 15.

It was September of 2011, and Jason Aldean already was on fire performing in Michigan as part of his My Kinda Party Tour. And while the crowd was already loving just about everything coming out of Jason’s mouth, it was who came out onstage that night that made them completely lose their marbles.

Michigan native Kid Rock joined Jason to perform his 1999 hit “Cowboy” and provided fans in attendance that night with a wonderful preview of what we all can expect later this summer.

Indeed, Jason and Kid will be playing the famed Fenway Park come September 2016, and it looks like it will be packed. On May 9, it was announced that due to overwhelming demand, the two added another date since the first date sold out in less than 90 minutes over the weekend. Thomas Rhett, A Thousand Horses and Dee Jay Silver are also on the bill as part of Jason’s Six String Circus Tour.

“I’m looking forward to Kid Rock meeting up with us in Boston, we’ve played each other’s shows and been friends for awhile, so actually getting to do a full night together somewhere as iconic as Fenway Park is going to be a huge,” Jason said in a press release announcing the tour.
