Watch Randy Travis’ cameo appearance in this country newcomer’s nostalgic music video

In life, there are no guarantees that we will get to see another day.

Country superstar Randy Travis knows that all too well.

Back in 2013, the “Forever and Ever Amen” singer had a major scare when he suffered a devastating stroke. During that time, the country music world prayed that he would be okay. As luck would have it, Randy overcame that near death experience. Since then, he’s been on the road to recovery.

Now, Randy is proving to fans that he’s stronger than ever by teaming up with another fellow artist.

Featured in traditional country singer-songwriter Shane Owens’ new video for the song “Country Never Goes Out Of Style,” Randy becomes a master of the soundboard. Shane — armed with an acoustic guitar — takes us back to the “good ole days” with epic scenes of cowboy-hatted dancers sporting boots and wrangler jeans.

Needless to say, the video is one gorgeous, nostalgic trip back to the ‘90s.

“Shane Owens brings it all…vocal, writing, performance, and passion,” said Randy in a press release. “He has paid his dues, remained committed to traditional country and brings you a song with heart and a story…. He will bless you with his talent and his kindness. To Shane, I gladly pass the baton…”

Shane added, “It means so much to have Randy join me in the video and talk about my music in that way. It was truly an honor.”

While Shane is a lesser-known artist, he’s got the talent to become a big star. And, with Randy on his side, it’s no doubt that we’ll be hearing much more from him.
