It didn’t take long for Maren Morris to start kicking ass and taking names. With just one song, she lit the country music world on fire and didn’t just do it with the regular country music fans; a lot of artists are fans of hers as well.

In January 2016, long before her hit “My Church” had hit the radio airwaves, Miranda Lambert was climbing onstage just to sing with Maren. As you can see in this video, Miranda joined her fellow Texan onstage at the City Winery Nashville to sing harmonies on Maren’s song “I Wish I Was.”

Even though this was shot in January of 2016, six months later Maren is still in Miranda’s top rotation on her iPod. When Miranda was asked on US99.5 in Chicago if there was the rising star she can’t stop listening to, she didn’t hesitate when she said Maren Morris.

Country music’s newest darling just saw her first ever single, “My Church,” not only climb all the way into the Top Five, but it also reached Gold status, meaning she sold more than 500,000 copies of the song. Now her current song, “80’s Mercedes,” is storming up the charts and is likely to do just as well.
