NBC’s “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon is notorious for getting his famous friends to play the “Whisper Challenge,” but the game itself caught on like wild fire long before the guy got his hands on it.
You may recall Blake Shelton playing the game, where one person wears a headset and tries to “lip read” the words that are coming out of the other person’s mouth, on the show last January.
Now, you can add Jennifer Nettles to that list.
Except the “Unlove You” singer didn’t challenge Jimmy. Instead, she caught up with the Big 99.5 Chicago on-air personality, Erik Zachary, to show off her ‘reading’ skills. Keeping her hairs at bay with a tight bun, Jennifer put on some minty green noise canceling headphones, while Erik tried to get her to guess the phrase, “Colin Powell.” Of course, the country star is no easy out, and she guessed it right away.
When the time came to swap roles, Erik’s confidence wilts with the word “John Malkovich,” and then when Jennifer tries to to gest him to pronounce “Notting Hill,” it’s pretty clear he loses the battle.
“He gets all the hard ones,” says Jennifer to the camera.
With Jennifer on a roll, she multi-tasked doing a little jig while guessing, “Texas Chainsaw Massacre.”
Needless to say, we don’t ever want to have to challenge champion Jennifer in this game.
