In 2008, Jason Aldean was still somewhat of a new artist and was treated like one.

While these days radio programmers trip over themselves to get any new song of his on the air, back then he was just getting started. As he approached his third album, he had only one No. 1 song with “Why” from his debut self-titled album in 2005.

Seven years ago, he changed all that.

In February of 2009, Aldean released the video for “She’s Country,” the first single from his “Wide Open” album, which kicked off a string of 10 consecutive songs that reached the top spot or came in at No. 2 on the Billboard charts. That unbelievable streak encompassed every song he released from 2008 until 2012. “She’s Country” also went on to be certified as triple platinum.

Not a bad little slump buster, eh?

To this day, “She’s Country” remains his second most successful song behind “Dirt Road Anthem” and has become one of Jason’s concert staples.
