Back in 2012, Jason Aldean’s career was on a high with a handful of hit songs and a major tour that featured guest artists Luke Bryan and Lauren Alaina.

And, it was that year when the “My Kinda Party” singer enlisted the season 10 “American Idol” hotshot to help him slay one of the most gorgeous ballads in country music.

During a tour stop at the I–Wireless Center in Moline, Illinois, Lauren joined forces with Jason onstage where she performed the female part of Jason’s smash hit, “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” which he originally collaborated on with powerhouse singer and fellow “American Idol” alum Kelly Clarkson.

In this video, you see Jason don a flannel shirt and a pair of comfortable jeans. He takes the first part of the intimate duet, while Lauren slowly emerges from a corner area of the stage. She rocks some sassy knee-high boots and a killer leopard print outfit and belts out Kelly’s high notes with true passion.

Needless to say, the two of them sounded amazing together!

These days, Jason’s career is as hot as ever. On Sept. 9, he will join forces with yet another artist — Kid Rock. Together, they will bring down the house with a two-night stint at Fenway Park in Boston. That same day, Jason will drop his highly anticipated seventh studio album, “They Don’t Know.”
