Watch as the Oak Ridge Boys give Carrie Underwood the ultimate compliment YouTube

In all their years together, the Oak Ridge Boys have pretty much seen and done it all.

At least they thought so.

When the guys took the stage at the 2016 CMT Music Awards to perform with Blake Shelton, theyreally amped up Blake’s “Doing It To Country Songs.” But it was right after Blake told the kids in the audience to “…pull your damn pants up and pay attention, this is the Oak Ridge Boys!” that things got crazy.

The guys morphed into the chorus of their iconic hit “Elvira” and the place went nuts. Everyone rose to their feet and everyone from Carrie Underwood to the kids in the audience who were nowhere near born when the song was out were singing along. When asked about that just moments before their CMA Fest performance on June 9, the Oaks were still blown away.

“We got out on our bus last night and watched the DVR of it about 27 times, to see Carrie Underwood out there, as my grandson would say shimmying, that was pretty cool. We love Carrie. In fact we sent her a tweet out today too. We thanked Carrie and congratulated Carrie for just being Carrie Underwood. She’s our queen.”
