Following a mountain biking accident in which Luke Bryan suffered a broken collar bone that required surgery, the country superstar tweeted out a message to his fans that his Farm Tour would go on as planned.
And yes, Luke Bryan keeps his promises.
On Oct. 12, Luke made a triumphant return to the stage with his arm in a sling, but with plenty of enthusiasm for the crowd gathered at FT Farms in Batesville, Mississippi. Similar to the show he has been doing throughout the country all year, Luke came out of the gate hot, with a combination of “Rain is a Good Thing” and “Kick the Dust Up.”
But while the audience seemed thrilled to see Luke up and around after his medical procedure, they had to wonder if he would be able to shake it like he used to.
That answer was a resounding yes, as Luke ended the night with a bit more subdued yet impressive “(Country Girl) Shake It For Me.”
Of course, it’s no surprise that Luke is a trooper, continuing the tour when many might be laying on their couches recuperating. The “Bayer Presents Luke Bryan Farm Tour 2016” not only brings Luke and his music to the farms of our country, but it also allows Luke to hand out a portion of the proceeds from the tour to put toward 50 college scholarships. According to a press release, the scholarships are handed out to “a local college student from a farming family within the communities the tour has played.”
