With 800 service members in the audience and both First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden watching from the side of the stage, “The Voice” contestants did an amazing version of Dierks’ hit “Home.” And while the lyrics themselves are enough to create an emotional reaction for any America-loving citizen, the moment was even better when a marching band came out to back the song.

It was indeed a special night for “The Voice,” who was celebrating both its five-year anniversary and the five-year anniversary of the group “Joining Forces,” an initiative started by First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden. In a digital exclusive on “The Voice” YouTube channel, both Michelle and Jill admitted before the show that they were in fact “Team Blake” supporters, listing all of their favorite Blake Shelton songs as the other coaches jokingly admitted that they didn’t know the name of any of their fellow coaches’ songs.
