Over the past few years, fans have been hitting the beach shores of Riviera Maya, Mexico to see country music’s biggest stars hit the stage for Luke Bryan’s four-day Crash My Playa concert vacation.
But this year, one unannounced pop star gave concertgoers quite the surprise!
It all happened on Saturday, Jan. 21. Headliner Blake Shelton, 40, had just finished performing his encore, “Footloose” when he told the crowd, “I think it’s time to rock!” That’s when his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, 47, crashed the third-annual all-inclusive party event with her 2001 smash, “Hella Good.”
One fan who was lucky enough to get close to the stage captured a piece of Gwen’s performance, and posted it on Instagram.
In the fan footage above, it’s clear to see that Gwen is full of confidence. She commands the stage with noticeable swag, while rocking a stylish romper paired with chunky bracelets, and a fiery-red boho headband. Fans scream and dance, as the songstress belts out the lyrics, “You got me feelin’ hella good. / So let’s just keep on dancing.’”
Needless to say, it’s one unforgettable moment!
Aside from performing her mega hit, Gwen and Blake have been taking advantage of their sun-filled trip. Between breaks, Gwen documented parts of the trip on Snapchat.
The shot above shows Gwen taking a stroll by the ocean, while Blake jams out on a guitar with Little Big Town members, Philip Sweet, Jimi Westbrook, Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman.
Another image shows the two sweethearts posing in front of a camera. Blake shows off his charming smile, while Gwen flaunts her perfectly applied makeup.
And, one more couldn’t hurt, right? The shot above shows the “Sangria” singer enjoying the island getaway with a drink in his hand.
Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa ran from Jan. 19-22, and featured headlining acts, Luke Bryan, Blake, and Little Big Town. Other performing artists included, Randy Houser, Old Dominion, Dustin Lynch, Brothers Osborne, Kelleigh Bannen, Adam Craig, Brooke Eden, and Lucie Silvas.
