The temperatures outside were as high as the anticipation in the audience when Taylor Swift stepped upon the stage at LP Field as part of the CMA Music Festival on June 6, 2013. Everyone knew they were in for a dynamic performance, because heck, they were about to watch the incomparable Taylor Swift. But little did anyone know how dynamic that performance would become.
As she strapped her guitar around her neck, she began to sing the recognizable melody of one of her hit songs “Tim McGraw,” much to the delight of the jam-packed audience in attendance. But when she stopped mid-song and shot that curious glare that always makes her fans so crazy, everyone knew something amazing was about to happen.
Not just one amazing thing… two amazing things.
Keith Urban and Tim McGraw ended up walking onstage with her to sing their big hit at the time, “Highway Don’t Care.” And by the looks on the audience’s faces, they were shocked at the sheer amount of star power on one stage at one time.
