If everything is truly bigger in Texas, can you imagine what Christmas is like in the Lone Star State? As magical as it sounds, even a holiday in Houston, a celebration in San Antonio, a feast in Ft. Worth, or a jubilee in tiny Jayton isn’t without its stresses, and Texas country superstar Randy Rogers has compiled a list of his five favorite ways to get through the holidays.

Here it is, from one through five:

  1. Spike the eggnog (we support this)
  2. Visit Mom and Dad
  3. Shop with amazon.com (maybe pick up a copy of Randy’s recent album “Nothing Shines Like Neon”)
  4. Attend an ugly Christmas sweater party (Garth and Trisha support this)
  5. Charity. Give. Volunteer.

Another way that Randy is getting through the holiday craziness is by partnering with his good Texas pal William Clark Green for the We Will Probably Shoot Our Eye Out Tour, playing on the famous line from the classic Christmas movie “A Christmas Story.” The tour is just a short holiday run that includes stops in Tyler, Corpus Christi and Spring, Texas.

Looking more like Clark and Cousin Eddie from “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” than country stars, Randy and William got together to shoot a video promoting the short run of dates and, of course, things went further south than Brownsville. Watch all the fun unfold in this video.
