Since Garth came back in the fall of 2014, he has truly been touring non-stop. He has even been playing three-, four- and sometimes seven-night runs in certain arenas.
And at times, those runs have even included two shows a night! The man is a machine, focused solely on touring and bringing his music to his fans night after night.
So much so that if Garth has the choice to be in Los Angeles mingling at an awards show or in a small town playing a concert, he’ll choose a concert every single time.
So, it came as no surprise that Trisha Yearwood had to walk onstage at her husband’s show in Des Moines to get his attention. Once she did, he focused solely on her as she informed him that not only were the American Country Countdown Awards going on 1,700 miles away in LA, but he had also just been awarded the coveted ACCA “Touring Artist of the Year” award.
As Trisha made the announcement to Garth and the entire audience, you can see Garth was clearly moved as the capacity crowd erupted with applause. He even took off his signature cowboy hat to acknowledge the thanks.
After a quick kiss with his wife, Garth did what he always does, thanked everyone else who made this and so much more possible.
