There are those country artists that just seem to have a tough exterior, whether on stage or off. Yet, it’s when they let down their guard a bit that we finally see the amazing heart they have been hiding.

During a recent Facebook Live chat with Rare Country, Kip Moore joined us in a discussion about everything from favorite songs to the recent Super Bowl game. But when a question came in from one of Kip’s loyal fans about the role his parents have played in his life, the country music star was taken back — if only for a moment.

“They honestly led by example,” Kip began after a deep sigh. “My mom was this very spiritual die-hard Christian woman, but she wasn’t the type that would beat you over the head with it. She was truly the kind that just walks the line. She is an amazing woman. My dad was a wild charismatic party guy, but what I learned for him was how to treat people. He always went out of his way to take care of people that didn’t have the things he worked for.”

Kip is currently on his Wild Ones Tour and is preparing for a trip overseas in April to play in Manchester, UK and Glasgow, UK.
