It’s safe to say that Tim McGraw is reflecting back on 2016 with a big smile on his face and is looking forward to the future ahead.

On Dec. 31, the 49-year-old star paid homage to country music and the past year by posting a touching tribute video on Instagram. Tim included the caption, “So long 2016! Hello ’17. Here we go!”

The video featured a montage of clips that included some of Tim’s recent successes and moments that he shared with stars like Garth Brooks, Charley Pride and Randy Travis.

As you can see in the video above, the past 12 months have proven to be quite a whirlwind for Tim, as he and his wife, Faith Hill, celebrated their 20-year wedding anniversary, earned respective stars on the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville, and announced the coming of another Souls2Soul World Tour during a surprise concert at the Ryman Auditorium.

“When we make our footprint as an artist, there’s a lot of people involved in making that footprint,” says Tim in the video before adding, “We do it because we hope to move you. We hope that we make a little bit of an impact in your life, and you care a little bit about what we do.”

Indeed, Tim did move us.

The star made an incredible impact on his fans through his powerful 2016 single, “Humble and Kind.” The song, penned by lauded writer Lori McKenna, worked as the background music for the montage but also played a bigger role in Tim’s life. So much so that he started a movement on his social media pages showcasing people from all walks of life taking part in random acts of kindness with the hashtag #humbleandkind.

Tim, we can’t wait to see how you make a difference in 2017!
