When you live in Nashville, you never know who you’ll pump gas next to, or be in line behind at Starbucks or park by at the grocery store. Heck, you never even really know who you’ll open the door to when Christmas carolers come knocking. Seriously. It could be Thomas Rhett, Russell Dickerson, Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and all of their beautiful wives!
When mega-hit songwriter Nicole Galyon (“Female,” “Smooth,” “We Were Us”) opened her door on a recent chilly December night, that’s exactly who she saw and heard.
In a video shared on her Instagram, we see the three couples — appropriately dressed in Dickensian attire with wassail in their hands — delivering a glorious and festive version of “Deck the Halls.”
OK, let’s get real now. Russell’s suit seems a little more Buddy the Elf than Dickens, the wassail appears to be to-go cups from a local coffee shop, and glorious? Well, it was definitely enthusiastic, fun and on pitch! But why wouldn’t it be? They’re some of the most successful artists in country music. And Kailey Dickerson’s jingle bells take it right over the top.
So … what is actually in those cups?
Thomas Rhett’s wife, Lauren, also shared a photo of the group on her Instagram, and we can see those outfits a little more clearly. They all look pretty awesome! It appears that Thomas and Tyler are in matching suits while their wives, Lauren and Hayley, are also matching. Except while Lauren keeps her hands warm in a fur muff, Hayley has hers wrapped around her pregnant belly. And Russell? Still elfin.
Lauren writes: “The #CountryCarolers. Coming this Christmas to a Nashville neighborhood near you🎄🎁🎅🏻💚❤️🎶 #thebestwaytospreadchristmascheerissingingloudforalltohear #itsthemostwonderfultimeoftheyear.”
Who says Christmas is just for kids?
The group also appeared to have popped in on RaeLynn, and she looks pretty happy about it.
We’re rolling into the end of the year, but there is still one fun activity country stars and their fans can take part in—the Rare Country Awards!
Thomas Rhett is nominated for Story, Duet and Male Artist of the Year and Florida Georgia Line is nominated for Tour and Duo/Group of the Year in the Rare Country Awards, and it’s up to you to decide the winners. Vote now through Dec. 13 at RareCountryAwards.com. Winners will be revealed during a livestreamed concert event on Dec. 14 in Nashville.
Wouldn’t a Rare Country Award trophy looks nice and sparkly under this year’s tree?
