One advantage of living in the south is that most months out of the year are warm. So, you can’t really predict whether or not you’ll actually see snow during the winters.
This year, however, Tennessee got more than just a dusting. In fact, the state got hit with the white stuff not once, but twice, in a five-day period.
As most country music fans know, Nashville is home to many country music stars. So, when Music City got hit with the wintry mix, artists took to social media to show fans how they were spending their snow day, including Thomas Rhett’s wife, Lauren Akins.
Lauren, who is mama to the couple’s two young daughters, Willa Gray and infant Ada James, posted a precious photo on Instagram of her youngest enjoying her first-ever snow day.
In the sweet mother/daughter shot, which you can see below, both Ada and her mommy look very prepared for the icy weather. Lauren sports a warm and puffy grey coat, and a baby carrier to safely hold her child in her arms. Meanwhile, baby Ada, who was born last August, appears to be all bundled up in an adorable baby outfit, and a pink and purple crocheted cap. And, oh boy, we can’t help but gush over how rosy the little one’s chubby cheeks are. How stinking cute!
“Look at this little snow bunny ❄️🐰💜,” Lauren wrote, alongside the Jan. 13 snapshot.
Lauren also shared a second photo of the couple’s two dogs, Kona and Cash.
“Snow buddies on my walk this morning ❄️🐾💙,” she said of the two pups.
It is unclear where little Willa was during the winter pictures. Perhaps, she was playing in the snow beside mommy, or maybe she was having a daughter/daddy day with Thomas. Whatever the case, neither Thomas nor Lauren has fallen short of sharing a variety of cute family photos on social media.
In fact, back in October, Lauren posted a whole album of the family donning costumes for Halloween on her Instagram page. Then, in late December, Thomas shared a precious photo of his three favorite gals staying warm together, while wrapped up in a cozy blanket.
We can’t wait to see additional heartwarming photos of Thomas and his adorable family. And we’re pretty sure they will share plenty more, as the doting dad, who earned a Grammy Award nomination for his No. 1 album, “Life Changes,” doesn’t have his first show of 2018 on the books, a performance at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, until March 7.
Thomas’ “Life Changes Tour 2018” kicks off on April 5 and runs through Oct. 27. Supporting artists for the trek include, Brett Young, Carly Pearce, Russell Dickerson and newcomer Jillian Jaqueline. Fans can go to thomasrhett.com for more info on tour dates.
