Willa Gray Akins is only a two-year-old toddler. But don’t let her tender age fool you, because she just might be a genius.

Just ask her dad, country music star Thomas Rhett.

The tiny tot, who was adopted from Uganda in 2017 by Thomas and his wife, Lauren Akins, just proved to a whole boatload of fans that she can handwrite the letter “W” all by herself. Now, this might not sound like a big deal to you, but let us remind you that Willa isn’t even old enough to be in preschool yet. Not to mention that the first letter of her name is a tough one to master.

Thomas, of course, was so thrilled when he found out just how quickly his eldest daughter was able to pick up the skill of writing actual letters that shot footage of her showcasing her talent. He then shared the video on Instagram.

Willa Gray is 2 and just wrote a “W” on her own.. is that normal?😂🤩

In this clip above, Willa looks absolutely precious in a bright yellow, bowknot headband and a shirt with the word “shine” written across the front. While focused on her personal task, she looks down at her notebook and uses a pen to create the alphabetical character. She even grips her writing utensil like a big girl as she completes her exercise. But the best part of all is seeing how excited Willa gets when she realizes that she can draw out her initial. She screams out with so much joy that it’s hard to make out every word that she’s saying.

“Are you a genius?” Thomas, who is also father to the couple’s baby, Ada James, asks his little one from behind his camera.

“Yes,” says Willa, who is seated next to her mama, confidently responding with enthusiasm. “I’m a genius.”

Too cute!

Even though Thomas was clearly impressed by his little one’s writing talents, he couldn’t help but get a few opinions to see whether or not her skill was typical for a two-year-old.

“Willa Gray is 2 and just wrote a ‘W’ on her own. Is that normal?” he asked his Instagram followers.

“That grip!!!! Wow! I’m a preschool teacher who is so impressed! Good job, parents!!” one fan responded.

“That’s very advanced for her age,” another person wrote. “She also holds her pen correctly! You guys are amazing parents. She’s very lucky to have you.”

A third person commented, “Willa Gray!!! She will be writing songs for you before you know it @thomasrhettakins.”

As you probably remember, the proud parents brought Willa home in May 2017  three months before they welcomed baby Ada into the world. It’s so nice to see that she is adjusting so well! And, it’s great to see that Thomas and Lauren are getting to know their wee ones’ amazing and shining personalities!
